Plastic samba drum skins made in Brazil for samba drumming

We stock skins made by RMV and sanmark, and also a couple of Izzo skins.(see below)

You need Brazilian skins on your samba drums -surdos, repiniques, tamborins, caixas etc - if you want that samba sound.

If you are unsure of the size of your drum head, remove the existing drum skin and measure the diameter of the drum from the outside edges of the shell.

Izzo tamborims sound OK but when you come to change the head, you may have trouble fitting a standard 6" skin. This is because the tuning hooks are thin and leave little space for the metal ring of the tamborim head.

You can either change the hooks to a better quality set that leaves more space for a standard 6" drumskin, or you can just buy Izzo 6" skins which fit all 6" tamborims but which have a slightly thinner metal hoop than other makes of Brazilian tamborim skins.
