fitting a standard 6" skin. This is because the tuning hooks are thin and leave
little space for the metal ring of the tamborim head.
You can either change the hooks to a better quality set that leaves more space for a standard 6" drumskin, or you can just buy Izzo 6" skins which fit all 6" tamborims but which have a slightly thinner metal hoop than other makes of Brazilian tamborim skins. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
