These school samba instrument teaching packs are not top heavy with cheaper hand percussion items to make them look like a bargain. You need a core of surdos, caixas and repiniques to hold the other instruments together. Our smaller school samba sets are designed to give you this core of samba drums. You can then add small percussion items that you may already have, such as shakers and bells, to adapt the kit for more children.

We import these drums directly from Brazil and can alter these packages in any way you like.

TDSounds does not sell packs of wooden drums to schools because they are much more fragile than lightweight aluminium. Our drums do not need expensive hard cases for storage.

The surdo drums in these childrens drum teaching sets can be supplied with hide or nylon heads at the same price. Most schools prefer nylon, as they are easier to manage in a classroom situation, but the drums do sound sweeter with hide heads.
