For childrens and school samba groups, TDSounds has commissioned these extra short, lightweight surdos. These small surdos are under 40cm deep (body depth) but are made to the same high standard of all our Artcelsior / King surdos, and can be played and carried in exactly the same way as an adult drum. These kids surdo drums are made of lightweight aluminium, light enough for small children to carry. The 14" childrens' surdo also serves as an extra large adult repinique. The 16" surdo has been made just for TDSounds for us, specifically for use in junior school samba bands. |
