We used to sell the traditional atabaques with ropes and wedges as a tuning
system, but these are very hard to keep in tune. Our new Atabaque uses metal tuning
lugs - less folksy, but more practical.
This is a very solid, heavy Atabaque with no compromises at all for the export market,
and is supplied with
a metal stand with rubber footings.You need to be quite tall to play it (or stand on a box!)
