Small tapered bodied Brazilian metal (aluminium) tan-tan drum, used in pagode, provides rich mellow bass tones. Hand samba pagode drum of hardened aluminium, with rounded tuning rings for comfort, made in Rio de Janeiro. In Sao Paulo this drum is called a rebolo. 12" (30cm) head x 45cm deep; hide skin. This instrument is used for providing the bass percussion in 'pagode' styles, and is ideal for small samba groups and studio settings.
